Two kinds of knitting…

Thank you to everyone who attended the launch of our ‘Nets, Knots & Knitting’ events at the weekend.  I for one have discovered that fishing-net knitting is much easier than the regular kind! Check out the pics of knitted sandwich fillings and our communal lobster-pot (more on the museum’s facebook page)! A huge thank-you also goes to Angela Knipe and John Robinson for sharing their knowledge and skills – what crafty creative folks! Don’t forget the next events in a fortnight – Angela’s second ‘knit-a-fish’ workshop (call us to book a place: 01947 601900) and ‘Fun with Old Rope’, knot-tying and rope making with Norman Cockburn on 5th August.
