Great Sandwich Pic-Knit Finale & Prize-Giving!

Phew, what a day on Saturday! Dr Annie Shaw certainly had her work cut out judging all those fantastic entries.  After 2 hours of deliberation, the results are as follows:

Best Knitted sea-food or sea creature:

1st – ‘Fisherman’s Butty’, Eileen Shone of Whitby

3rd – Tiny Prawn, Aelfleda Pybus of Sandsend

Best Technical Ability:

1st – Conch shell, Roger K. Newton of Manchester.

2nd – Hamm & lettuce crochet sandwich, Lynne Glazzard of Glaisdale

3rd – ‘An octopus’ Picnic’, Delphine Jasmin-Belisle of Whitby

Most Creative filling or topping:

1st – Great British Summer Sandwich, Miriam Shone of Whitby

2nd – Gully the Seagull, Philly Collings of Leeds.

3rd – Langoustine and BBQ prawn skewer, Julie Anderson of Bristol.

Tastiest Looking Sandwich:

1st – Egg, Beetroot and Ham, Gillian Lamb of New Zealand

2nd – Sausage and Mustard, Bobby walker of Whitby

3rd – Breakfast Butty, Muriel Ikin of Statford-upon-Avon
