Take part

We need you to get knitting!  If you fancy trying your hand at a sandwich, check out our Blogroll of links to knitting pattern websites.  Or, if you live in Whitby, pop in to the museum for a free booklet of patterns to take home.  Feeling more creative?  Why not invent your own pattern!

If knitting isn’t your thing – you might have some spare wool gathering dust at home – please bring it in we will make good use of it!  Forgotten how to knit?  Have a look at the online demo in our Blogroll.

If you are a confident knitter and like meeting new people perhaps you would like to lead a demo at one of our special event days?  For more info, contact Holly at cookmuseum@tiscali.co.uk or phone 01947 601900.

If you’d simply like to see the Sandwich display, come along to Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Grape Lane, Whitby.  The museum is open every day from 9.45-5.00 until the 31st October,  re-opening in March 2012.  Museum admission fee applies – for more details visit cookmuseumwhitby.co.uk or phone 01947 601900.

Sandwiches can be posted to:

Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Grape Lane, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO22 4BA.

(Please note that we may not be able to return sandwiches after the event).
